Entre ellos destaca el festival Rock in Rio Lisboa, celebrado en el Parque Tejo de Lisboa los días 20, 21, 27 y 28 de junio, precisamente será uno de los festivales que tendré la suerte de disfrutar este año, así que la emoción ya empieza a notarse mientras pienso en los conciertos, el ambiente y, por supuesto, el look que voy a elegir para la ocasión. Su cartel reúne nombres tan destacados como Katy Perry, Linkin Park, Rod Stewart, Cyndi Lauper, Lola Índigo, Charlie Puth y 21 Savage, entre muchos otros.

One of the things I like most about festival fashion is that there are no strict rules. You can go for a romantic look, a more rock-inspired outfit, or even a minimalist set. The most important thing is to feel comfortable and choose clothes that let you enjoy the experience without worries.

And speaking of experiences, this summer brings some of the most anticipated festivals. Among them is Rock in Rio Lisboa, held at Parque Tejo in Lisbon on June 20, 21, 27, and 28. It is actually one of the festivals I’ll be lucky enough to attend this year, so the excitement is already building as I think about the concerts, the atmosphere, and of course the look I’ll choose for the occasion. Its lineup brings together major international names such as Katy Perry, Linkin Park, Rod Stewart, Cyndi Lauper, Lola Índigo, Charlie Puth, and 21 Savage, among many others.

Otros festivales que seguirán marcando el verano europeo son Tomorrowland, Primavera Sound, Mad Cool Festival, Arenal Sound y Río Babel, que volverá a reunir a miles de asistentes durante los primeros días de julio. 

La mejor estrategia para preparar un look festivalero sigue siendo la misma: elegir prendas ligeras, tejidos frescos, capas fáciles de quitar cuando cae la noche y un calzado que puedas llevar durante horas. La moda puede ser importante, pero disfrutar del concierto lo es mucho más.

Hay prendas que vuelven cada verano sin hacer ruido, como si no necesitaran recordarnos nada. El lino es una de ellas. Pero lo interesante es que, aunque sigue siendo el mismo tejido de siempre, la forma de llevarlo ha cambiado bastante.

Ya no se trata solo de vestidos claros o conjuntos demasiado “perfectos”. Ahora el lino se mezcla con otras ideas más relajadas, incluso un poco inesperadas, y eso es lo que lo hace más interesante que nunca.

There are pieces that come back every summer without making any noise, as if they didn’t need to remind us of anything. Linen is one of them. But what’s interesting is that, although it’s still the same fabric as always, the way it’s worn has changed quite a bit.

It’s no longer just about light dresses or overly “perfect” outfits. Now linen is mixed with more relaxed ideas, even slightly unexpected ones, and that’s what makes it more interesting than ever.

Puedes verlo en looks donde el pantalón amplio se combina con camiseta básica muy ajustada, o en camisas de lino abiertas sobre tops sencillos e incluso con bikinis casi como si el conjunto estuviera improvisado pero funcionara sin esfuerzo. Una opción que me encanta es anudarla y combinarla con una falda midi de tiro alto.

You can see it in looks where wide-leg trousers are paired with a very fitted basic T-shirt, or in linen shirts worn open over simple tops and even bikinis, almost as if the outfit were improvised but works effortlessly. One option I really love is tying it at the waist and pairing it with a high-waisted midi skirt.

También empiezan a verse combinaciones menos evidentes: tonos más oscuros dentro del lino, sandalias planas algo más marcadas, o incluso bolsos que rompen con esa estética tan neutra que solíamos asociar a este tejido.

Lo bonito es que el lino deja de ser “el look de vacaciones perfecto” para convertirse en algo que puedes llevar en ciudad sin que parezca demasiado pensado. Un equilibrio raro, pero muy actual.

Hay prendas que desaparecen… y otras que simplemente se quedan, pero van cambiando de forma. El pantalón cargo es claramente de las segundas. Este verano lo vamos a seguir viendo muchísimo, pero con un aire mucho más actual, más suave, más pensado incluso para looks que antes ni nos hubiéramos imaginado.

Y es curioso, porque el cargo nació como algo puramente funcional, casi “utilitario”, con esos bolsillos laterales tan reconocibles. Pero ahora ha pasado a ser una pieza clave del street style, e incluso se ha colado en estilismos más arreglados, con tacones, sandalias finas o tops delicados.

He estado varias veces en Milán, una de mis ciudades favoritas cuando hablamos de moda, y en este último viaje hace pocos días hubo una prenda que vi absolutamente en todas partes: el pantalón cargo. Lo curioso es que no lo llevaba solo un tipo de mujer o una determinada edad, sino todo lo contrario. Lo vi en chicas jóvenes combinado con sneakers y tops minimalistas, pero también en mujeres más maduras, con versiones mucho más elegantes y favorecedoras, en tejidos fluidos y con una caída suave que estiliza muchísimo. Ahí fue cuando confirmé que el cargo ya no es solo una tendencia pasajera, sino una pieza que realmente se ha integrado en el armario actual por su comodidad, versatilidad y ese aire relajado que funciona tan bien en verano.

I have been to Milan, one of my favourite cities when it comes to fashion, several times, and on this most recent trip just a few days ago, there was one item I saw absolutely everywhere: the cargo pants. What was interesting is that it wasn’t worn by just one type of woman or a specific age group, quite the opposite. I saw it on young girls paired with sneakers and minimalist tops, but also on more mature women, with much more elegant and flattering versions in fluid fabrics and soft drapes that enhance the silhouette beautifully. That’s when I realised that cargo is no longer just a passing trend, but a piece that has truly become part of the modern wardrobe thanks to its comfort, versatility, and that relaxed feel that works so well in summer.

Los veremos en tejidos más ligeros, con caídas más fluidas, en tonos arena, blanco roto o incluso en colores pastel que suavizan muchísimo la estética militar original. También aparecen versiones más sofisticadas, casi como pantalones sastre con bolsillos discretos, que mantienen la esencia cargo pero sin el volumen exagerado.

Y luego está la parte más urbana, la de siempre, pero renovada: cintura baja o media, corte más relajado y ese aire desenfadado que funciona tan bien con camisetas básicas o crop tops.

We will see them in lighter fabrics, with more fluid drapes, in sand tones, off-white, or even pastel colours that soften the original military aesthetic a lot. More sophisticated versions are also appearing, almost like tailored trousers with discreet pockets, keeping the cargo essence but without the exaggerated volume.

And then there is the more urban side, the classic one, but renewed: low or mid-rise waist, a more relaxed cut, and that effortless feel that works so well with basic T-shirts or crop tops.
